WHAT IS CLOUD HOSTING? October 19, 2020 htshosting Post in Cloud Server In cloud computing the term “cloud” (mostly referred as “the cloud”) is used as a metaphor for the internet, so the word cloud computing means a type of internet based computing including different services which are delivered through the internet. A cloud is generally depicted through the use of a cloud-like shape server within network diagram as an abstraction of underlying infrastructure. Cloud computing is basically a delivery of on-demand computing services listing from applications to storage and processing power, generally over the internet. The term cloud or cloud computing can mean different to different people. To some it may seem scalability while to some it may mean redundancy and resilience in the face of failure. Cloud computing is a shared pool of configurable computer resources and higher-level services that can be rapidly provisioned with minimal management effort. This means developing in the cloud allows developers to get their applications to market quickly, it can remove downtime by hardware failure and allow rapid scalability to meet rapidly growing demands of the website or application. At the peak, the cloud can self-manage its scale so that the site or application is always responsive. One merit of using cloud computing services is that firms can neglect the upfront cost and complexity of owning and maintaining their own IT infrastructure, also easily pay for what they use, when they use it. HTS has been providing cloud services for over a few years now and have been promising in fulfilling client’s requirements offering a full gamut of cutting-edge enterprise solutions that drive business in today’s internet-powered business world. Cloud computing is not necessarily cheaper than other forms of computing, just as renting is not always cheaper than buying in the long term. If an application has a regular and predictable requirement for computing services it may be more economical to provide that service in-house. Some companies may be reluctant to host sensitive data in a service that is also used by rivals. Moving to a SaaS application may also mean you are using the same applications as a rival, which may make it hard to create any competitive advantage if that application is core to your business.
